DELICA's are a brand name, best known for their uniformity and tubular shape, making them an excellent use for even-count & odd-count peyote stitch plus brick stitch. DELICA Plated beads. The most sought-after premium type bead. DELICA is a brand name bead produced by Miyuki the world standard glass seed bead manufacturer known for their brilliance, uniform tubular shape and high quality, est. in the 1930’s. An excellent use for even-count & odd-count peyote stitch plus brick stitch. These large hole-perfectly cylinder beauties can accommodate various passes of thread for one's loom and off-loom beading creative projects. ~With seed bead sizing, in general, the larger the size number, the smaller the bead is in size. ~"Seed beads" is a term meaning small bead. ~DELICA'S (DB) about (175-200 beads) per gram* ~Different color finishes affect both weights and bead count per gram, so approximates are used. ~Plated color holds up, no problems with general use. ~Individual fading issues/color change that could occur with any color bead type - maybe due to bright sun exposure/ultraviolet light, skin acid or deterioration with time. ~Best to also avoid dry cleaning and/or washing beads with harsh hand soaps or chemicals.
